Face (Surface) Specifications

A Grade: The surface is clean and it has uniform colour shade. There can be a couple of knots.

B Grade: The surface has got bird’s eye knots and colour changes. Generally, there is NOT any incipient rot.

C Grade: In addition to Class B properties, there are incipient rots, extra knots. It contains mixture of heartwood and sapwood more than Class B.

Oak is a hardwood. It has quite high ratio of contraction while drying process. Oak wood is hard to process. However it is highly adaptable to sticking, nailing and screwing. It has tanniferous structure. Oak panel has eye-pleasing visual. It has low ratio of cracking and expanding, but it can easily crack open. It resists instantaneous impacts. Oak wood panel has the highest resistance to long-term usage against air and moisture effects than any other woods. Both Solid and Finger jointed Oak panels are suitable for CNC machining.
