What Are The Criteria For Edge Glued (Masif) Panel Sizing?

Solid panel (wood panel , wood plate ) production is made according to the size of solid panel presses. Generally used Press sizes 1.5-2.0-2.5-3.0-3.5-4.2-4.5-5.5-6.0 M is at intervals.

As it is usually used as furniture element, the preferred solid panel width measures are 70 cm,80 cm, 100 cm, 120 cm, 130 cm. Solid panel thickness varies between 10 mm and 60 mm depending on the needs of the areas of use. The most commonly used measures in our country are 18,28,30,40 mm and values in these ranges.

 

How To Classify Edge Glued Panel Quality

The most important features in determining the quality of the solid panel are: tree type , pattern , color , Lata or lamellas used in the production of attached/non-attached status. After these criteria are evaluated, quality classification is made for both surfaces by looking at the defect rates of natural wood on their surfaces.

These classes are AA , AB , AC , BB , BC , CC and 6 different quality specifies.
