WHAT ARE THE STAGES OF EDGE GLUED PANEL PRODUCTION?
- The general process in the production of edge glued panel is as follows.
1-Classified trees of different grades are gotten from domestic and foreign sources.
2-The Timbers go through drying process in special ovens until they reach the appropriate humidity level.
3-By multi-slitting process, large sized timbers are brought to the desired size.
4-Sliced Timbers are made into pieces in the desired size after being wiped in the machines.
5-Products of the same quality are categorized.
6-After the same quality parts are brought to the production processes, they go through the finger joint process. In this process , the machine opens teeth so that the parts can pass exactly to each other.
7-After the teeth are opened , drafts are passed together to form a long piece of the same quality. The resulting long pieces are joined by applying glue to the sides and carried to the pressing machine.
8-Special shape (Wolf mouth) is given if requested so that they can hold each other to the sides of long drafts. The size of the long pieces is determined by the wooden plate to be produced. Thickness also varies in the same way. Before packaging , wood plate sizes are made .
9-With cold / hot press machine, the glued parts and 6 surfaces are glued together thoroughly and the space is prevented.
10-The edge glued panel which has been turned into a plate is wiped with sensitive millimeter Sanders and the packaging process is done with shrink machine. The package should contain a user manual and a document indicating its quality.
